CRAFT FAYRE AT THE KINGS HALL (24th Sept 2006)

A great time was had by all on Sunday morning down at the Kings Centre on Herne Bay sea front at the Craft and Gift Fayre organised by Midas Leisure Promotion headed by Mick Cairns and his son Jason. The father and son partnership are a good team and they have spent nine years bringing events such as these to the local community. The Kings Hall lends itself to this kind of event with its high ceilings and old charm atmosphere. With seventy stalls and the locals turning out throughout the year it's a good trip out for all involved.

The stalls catered for a wide range of tastes including Soap Craft run by Angela Gledhill who makes a beautiful selection of soaps and creams.
Julian Newell, a local wood turner with a display of bowls, clocks, and vases. Audrey Martin whose stall oozed style and colour with her gorgeous range of home crafted handbags and cushions. With no two bags the same, handbag lovers must get down to the next fair in December if they want to snap one up.
White Dove Crystals original jewellery designs owned by Linda Atkinson have a website where you can see their fashionable gemstone designs online: www.whitedovecrystals.co.uk
Sweet Nostalgia had a stall opposite the entrance. With their delicious hand made fudge within easy reach it was clear to see they would be having a busy day. By midday the hall was bustling with many happy people and the fayre was obviously a great success.

The next Craft and Gift Fayre is on the 2nd and 3rd of December. The doors open at ten and you can find more information at www.midasleisure.co.uk or call Mick Cairns on 01843 823307.
